There is no account, no telemetry and no cloud, and it needs no network connection. Only an outside timestamp or an outside model can reach out, and only if you set one up.
Nothing is judged
Verbatae doesn’t interpret. It confirms and recites. It draws no conclusions; the judgment stays with your experts.
Every result points to its source
The passage as written, the full file path, the page, and a fingerprint of the file as read. Check it against the file, and it says unchanged, changed or gone.
Your files are never changed
Verbatae reads your files where they are. It never moves, renames, edits or deletes them. Email attachments and unpacked mailboxes are copied to a hidden folder beside the originals; erasing the case removes it.
Your case files stay yours
We claim no rights to your documents or results. Nothing is sent to us, and we can’t see your cases.
The encryption we recommend
A laptop that travels or is used for other things carries your case files with it. We recommend full-disk encryption (FileVault on a Mac, BitLocker or device encryption on Windows), a separate account for Verbatae, and a dedicated machine.
